Introducing the Starr collection. Inspired by our first design ever. Let us take you back to where our story started, back in 2019 Geertje was asked by her teachers to think about an innovative concept for a jewelry piece.
It was during this project that she started experimenting with machines that are originally used to make interior furniture or high-tech pieces. Not only the machines but also the waste that came out of this industry inspired her in this project. As the Starr was born, so was Tweek-Eek.
As an ode to our first piece ever made, we decided to name our new collection STARR. With the same experimental and hands-on mentality, that transformed the STARR earring from metal waste to a 3D piece, we pushed this shape language into new designs. For example, the STARR INSIDE and OUTSIDE, are two rings that fit perfectly into each other, because one ring is originally the skeleton of the other.
That’s how we prioritized and optimized space and therefore have limited material waste in this collection. So from one design, we made two or even three different pieces by rethinking space and shapes.
